Thank you for choosing the Palm Beach County Library System for your passport needs! Prior to booking an appointment, please review requirements below to verify your eligibility to apply for a passport. Thank you!
Adult Renewals: You must renew by USPS mail if your most recent valid passport 1) was issued in the last 15 years (even if it is expired), 2) is currently in your possession, and 3) you meet all other requirements listed on the official U.S Department of State website. This acceptance facility does not process renewals (Form DS-82).
If you answered NO to any of the requirements listed on the link above, please continue to schedule an appointment.
Minor Renewals: Minors under 16 must book an in-person passport appointment regardless of previous passport issue/expiration dates. Minors under 16 must be accompanied by all legal parents at the time of the appointment. If not, a consent form must be filled out by the absent parent.
What To Bring To Your Appointment:
- Completed form DS-11 (filled out prior to appointment)
- Original or certified proof of U.S citizenship
- Original proof of identity
- Passport photo taken within the last 6 months (This facility does not take photos)
- Check or money order made out to the U.S. Department of State (fee calculator)
- Cash/card/money order execution (acceptance) fee of $35 paid to Palm Beach County Library System
Passport Processing Times: View the current passport processing times here. *Mailing times are not included in processing times. Processing times only include the time your application is at one of the passport agencies or centers.The total time to get your passport includes both processing and mailing times. It may take up to 2 weeks for applications to arrive by mail at a passport agency or center, and up to 2 weeks for you to receive a completed passport in the mail after it is printed. Consider the total time it will take to receive your passport when you are booking travel.*
